Do it on regular basis. Inspect
the plug wires because misfires not only hurt the engine's performance,
but voltage spikes may damage the ignition module.
When checking out your car
Make sure you coat the spark
plug threads with anti-seize. This is a must for aluminum heads and will
make plug removal much easier.
Every 30.000 miles
All spark plugs should be
removed and checked every 30,000 miles, even if your car is "low
maintenance”. This prevents the plugs from seizing in the block, causing
expensive repairs down the road.

Possible problems
Worn plugs waste fuel and
increase exhaust emissions. They also cause the engine to run poorly.
Replace them whenever it is necessary.
To avoid confusion
When reconnecting, label old
wires with tape and numbers to indicate where each end connected. Also
use a drawing to remember where each wire connects.
