When you travel, select motels
that have well lit parking and if possible request a ground level room
that you can park your bike within eye site of your room.
It won't be stolen
If possible, secure your bike
to any immovable object with the cable or chain. Sometimes it is best to
loop two cables locks to a fixed object.
Dress it up!
Put a cover over your bike.
Not only does it help to keep it clean, it covers up the bike seen by
wandering eyes.
How to lock it
Lock the bike, through the frame, to an immovable object, preferably in a
well-lighted area.
Less chances
Ground anchors stop thieves
stealing both your bike and the locks by fixing it to something solid.
If possible use a built-in version (concrete) as there is less chance of
it being removed.
