Check how long your dealer has been in business, how long they have been
in the same location, and the number of boat lines they sell. Even
though new companies tend to fade away faster than
established
companies, even established dealerships can discontinue lines, leaving
you with no resource for parts and service facilities.
You should know
Find out if the company will deliver your merchandise after the sale is
completed.
Before buying
Check if the company has an on site service compartment, with personnel
trained in both hull and engine repair.
:: Getting The Right Price ::
Get a good price
Price hunt for special offers at boat shows, but make sure extra
equipment you don’t want isn’t tacked onto the price.
Do not be shy
Try to bargain. The dealer may throw in extra accessories he can buy at
a discount, even if he won’t reduce the overall price.
