:: Strawberries ::

   Buying strawberries
     Buy strawberries that don’t have any bruising or mold and look shiny and bright.

   Store strawberries

 

    Strawberries can be refrigerated for up to three days but, to avoid molding, don’t wash them until you serve them.

   Don’t remove the strawberry’s hull until you wash them
     The hull will keep the strawberries from absorbing water and becoming soggy.

   To preserve avocado flavor and prevent discoloration
     Sprinkle with fresh limejuice

   To speed up the ripening process
   Place 2 or 3 unripened pears in a brown bag, close loosely, and store at room temperature out of direct sunlight
