:: General tips ::

  Use DVDs to store music
    For obtaining the best results when storing music and other audio data, use the DVD format; it is better than average CDs and the sound quality is superb.

  DVD players are easy to connect

  The most basic and fastest way to connect a DVD player to a TV is using RCA cables which are usually supplied with the component; match the color of the cable connector to its respective plug; connect from the DVD player outputs to the TV’s inputs.

  Study the cables and plugs to avoid mistakes
    To save time when connecting a DVD player to a receiver or controller, see the similarities of the cable plugs and also see if they are color-coded connectors; study carefully the backside of the component and notice how all connectors are labeled.

  Do not abuse the pause feature
    Avoid leaving a movie paused for an extended period of time, especially when the image is displayed on a plasma monitor or a projection TV; certain image colors may burn permanently into the screen, leaving perpetual ghostly undesired pictures onscreen.

  Use shopping carts to compare prices
  When buying electronics online and if available, use the shopping cart feature which holds information about interesting items while going to compare the same or similar items on other websites. All shopping carts are free of charge.
