To avoid strong food odors in
refrigerators, put a cup of plain baking soda one in the freezer, one in
the fridge; the baking soda absorbs odors.
Do not put a self defrosting
refrigerators in very cold areas
Avoid storing self defrosting
refrigerators in a garage or a room where the temperature gets below 50
degrees Fahrenheit; the oil may become thick, thus causing early
compressor malfunction.
Do not over stack a
refrigerator if it is not needed
Refrigerators that are not too
full operate better, but it does not matter how much stuff it is put in
a refrigerator, but do not block the air vents, or the air will not
circulate well, leaving some things in a warmer condition.
To set the temperature right
for a refrigerator set it between 36 or 42 degrees Fahrenheit, and the
freezer should be between 0 and 8 degrees.
The
doors on the refrigerator may be switched
Some refrigerators allow having
the doors switched. This may be helpful if the doors do not open
completely because of a wall or just for commodity. Consult the manual
for more information.
