When servicing a water filter,
be sure it is unplugged and that the water supply has been shut off
before starting any maintenance.
Replace the filter often if
used often
Replace a cartridge type filter
two times a year or more if it used very often; when replacing the
filter, clean the cartridge’s case and lubricate the o-ring with quality
silicone grease.
Remember to change the filter
before a year is passed
Replace self contained filters
last from anywhere between 6 months to a year; but replace it before if
it is used very often.
Use a water kit to test the
quality of the water
The best way to see if the
water filter is working well is to test the water itself; get a water
test kit which can be found in a hardware store.
Tighten all parts well when
assembling a water filter
If there is a leak, it may be
that the filter parts are not put together tight enough. See the manual
