Selecting a Home Theater system
package makes more sense when the system is to perform in an average
size room; they are also perfect when the equipment connection is
desired to be as simple as possible.
Home Theater systems which are
Energy Star compliant are best
When choosing a receiver for
the Home Theater, remember that Energy Star electronics use about twenty
five percent less electricity than similar Energy Star non-compliant
components.
Try to fix interference at all
causes
All receivers can get unwanted
interference; if high interference is noticed while the receiver is on,
turn off the receiver and then back on again; if this continues, try
relocating the antenna, connect the receiver in a different outlet and
separate components away from the receiver.
:: Safety ::
Pair speakers with the
receivers power
When choosing speakers,
remember to pair them with the receiver’s watt power output; low watt
handling speakers cannot process a powerful receiver’s watt output and
then, they break almost immediately when too much volume is applied to
them.
For safety reasons, unplug
components off the power source only
As part of safety, unplug the
power cord of the receiver from the wall outlet if the Home Theater is
not going to be used for a long period of time; remember to disconnect
the power cord by grasping the plug and then pulling it, never unplug
the power cord by pulling just the cord.
