  Bandwidth
  The range of frequencies between the lowest and highest points used for a system or circuit to operate and stay in range. It can also be the capacity of data transferred from a digital communications system. A way of measuring spectrum frequency usability.

Boot

 

The act of resetting or starting a computer terminal; there are cold-boots, which is when a computer is turned after being off for a while; there are as well the warm-boots, which is when a terminal is reset or restarted, but the loading software still goes thru its entire reloading process depending on the operating system.

 Bps (Bits per second)
  The amount of bits transmitted per second, it is used measure the speed of online data transferring; modems data transferring can be measured in Bps.

Brightness
  When applied to video, it means the general light intensity required for the picture’s balance. The brightness control manages the image quality, and combined with contrast effects, both controls help define the image making it more realistic.

Broadband
A term utilized when describing wide-bandwidth equipment or gear which occupy large amounts of the electromagnetic spectrum. Broadband communications systems contain all broadcasting along with other attachments.
Broadcasting
 To transmit electromagnetic signals in all directions as in spreading the signal allover the area; the act of transmitting to more than one place. On networks, it can be a message transmitted to all stations connected to the network.
