Before taking your child to
the hairdresser, wash his or her hair at home. The uncomfortable seat of
the salon can be scary for some kids.
Let them know
Make sure that your child
knows that hair grows back. If they never got a haircut, then maybe they
don’t know this very important fact. It could make it a lot less
frightening.
The right time
Match your child’s schedule
with the salon’s. Don’t go if they’re tired, cranky, or hungry. Go when
they are the happiest and most awake.

Cold but beneficial
Rinsing your hair in cold water
after you’ve finished shampooing and conditioning, will make it shinier.
Cold water closes the cuticle. When the cuticle is closed, it lies flat,
so it reflects the light and looks shiny.
Brush it!
Brush your hair and scalp 100
strokes in the day and night. It breaks apart hardened oils that clog
your hair facilities.
