When playing tennis, make sure
to wear the right shoes depending on the surface: Rubber soles
herringbone when on clay and synthetic grass, polyurethane when on hard
court, and pimple rubber soles for real grass.
Racquets maintenance
Remember to get racquets
strung at least once a year for more control. If you have two racquets
have it done at the same time.
Test new balls
Verify new balls by squeezing
them to see if they're uniform. This is important because it directly
relates to the speed and height of they’re bounce.
:: To prevent injuries ::
Avoid playing on hard surface
Stay away from playing on hard
surface courts with no "give," like cement, asphalt, or synthetic
courts. If you have no other choice, at least wear heel inserts to
absorb the shock.
To avoid ankle injuries
Wear tennis shoes with good
support. For even more precaution, put on two pairs of socks or padded
tennis socks.
