:: Basic money tips ::

  HAVE SOME CASH
    By taking local currency you are reducing the risk of having currency conversion problems. You can then use your traveler checks directly for making purchases at shops, hotels, gas stations, restaurants etc.

  LOCAL CURRENCY

  Take a small amount of foreign cash to meet your immediate needs on arrival. We suggest approximately US $200 equivalent.

  CHECK THE MARKET
    Regardless of the country you plan to visit, get the local currency rates for each destination before you leave home. (Remember these can change daily.) Carry a small pocket calculator at all times and convert the local price to Dollars before making the purchase. Only then will you know whether you are getting a fair deal.

  AT THE BANK
    When you do not have the local currency, cash your checks where they offer the best rate and least charges - usually the bank - remember to ask up front if they apply any fees.

  ACCEPTED AROUND THE WORLD
  Get some Travelers Checks in small denominations if you are moving from country to country - then you don't have to exchange large quantities you will not need.
