Be sure to place all
medications in a carry-on bag. Checked baggage could be delayed or
lost.
Records in your hands
If you have a medical
condition, bring medical records from your doctor. If you have a heart
condition, bring your most recent EKG.
Generic names
When bringing medications
along on a trip, carry part of the documentation that includes the
generic name rather than the brand name. This may make getting a
replacement easier.
Time to adjust
As a precaution don’t travel
for a couple of weeks after changing medication—you’ll need that time to
see if adverse reactions occur.
