Generally, on long-distance
overnight trains, food is available. The Cafe Car or Lounge Car offers
sandwiches, snacks and beverages to all. However, there aren’t many
seats, so it’s on a first-come first-serve basis.
EATING IN MOTION
It’s tradition to tip the
lounge car or dining car attendant for his service just like you would
in a restaurant. It’s also established to tip the sleeping car attendant
before exiting the train.
MEAL CHOICES
Special menu selections
available on many trains with 72-hour notice before the start of the
train's journey.
