Banks usually open from 9.00 am
and close between 4-5.00 pm, although larger branches feature drive
–thru windows are open till 6.00 pm. Few banks may open on Saturday from
9.00 am to 1.00 pm.

Exchange your money in banks to
get the best rates. Generally, American banks won’t cash personal checks
unless you have an account with them.
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE
Automated-Teller Machines are
everywhere in the United States. Certain ATMs let you withdraw American
dollars from your bank back home. Verify if your bank has this service
before you leave home, and find out what your pin number is. Remember,
each transaction will cost you around 3.00$ when you’re not using you’re
banks ATM.

Although traveler's checks are
widely accepted, make sure they're denominated in U.S. dollars, as
foreign-currency checks are often difficult to exchange.

The USA lists net prices,
unless otherwise indicated, onto which tax is added when the item is
purchased. This tax includes State and City taxes. All states and cities
decide independently how high their VAT percentage will be.
